MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING PLANNING COMMISSION/ BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS April 21, 2015 Commissioners Present: Cowman, McLean, Wrischnik, Pfefferkorn Commissioners Absent: Meinig, Hardwick Others Present: Mike Gotfredson, Randi Lucas, Todd Allenbrand Item 1: Pledge of Allegiance Item 2: Consider minutes from the December 16, 2014 meeting. Chair Cowman called the meeting to order. The first order of business was the consideration of the minutes from the December 16, 2014 meeting. Commissioner Cowman noted that the date under item four needs to be changed to December 17, 2014. Commissioners McLean and Pfefferkorn made a motion to approve the minutes as submitted, with all Commissioners voting in favor. Item 3: Consideration and vote on Miami County Medical Center Doctor’s Building Condominium Third Plat, Todd Allenbrand, applicant. Planner Gotfredson presented the staff brief and overview for the replat of units six and seven of Miami County Medical Center Doctor’s Building Condominium, First Plat. Gotfredson stated that there has been some remodeling of this space and so the condominium plat is being updated to reflect those changes. For the Commissioners reference, Miami County Medical Center Doctor’s Building Condominium, Second Plat has been included. Planner Gotfredson states that the subdivision and Condominium regulations are found in Article 10 Subdivision and Land Development Design Standards. The proposal plat is in conformance with these regulations. The application will not be detrimental to the health, safety or general welfare of the community. Planner Gotfredson recommended that this condominium replat be approved. There was no additional discussion among Commissioners. Paola Planning Commission Minutes April 21, 2014 1 Commissioners Cowman and McLean made a motion to approve the Miami County Medical Center Doctor’s Building Condominium Third Plat. All Commissioners voted in favor. Item 4: Community/Economic Development Director Report and Items from Commissioners. Planner Gotfredson gave Commissioners gave an update on the Residential Housing Construction Incentive Program, stating that it has been extended to the end of this year. Also that the City has given two new single family home permits this month, and is expecting a couple more in the near future. Gotfredson also stated that the Paola Bond Projects will be keeping Bill busy this summer. Item 5: Adjournment Commissioners Cowman and McLean made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
