NEW BUSINESS Mayor and Council Member Matters RFD 21-222 Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Recruitment Proposed Motion That Council direct administration to work with Council to commence a procurement process for the services of an Executive Search Firm to assist in the recruitment of a Chief Administrative Officer. A motion was made by Council Member Birnie that administration be directed to work with Council to commence a procurement process for the services of an Executive Search Firm to assist in the recruitment of a Chief Administrative Officer. NEW BUSINESS Chief Administrative Officer RFD 21-195 Request to Reschedule December 7, 2021 Committee of the Whole Meeting Proposed Motion That the December 7, 2021 Committee of the Whole meeting be rescheduled to be held on November 30, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. A motion was made by Council Member Kucher-Johnson that the December 7, 2021 Committee of the Whole meeting be rescheduled to be held on November 30, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. The motion carried unanimously. RFD 21-197 Establish Additional Council Budget Meeting Date Proposed Motion That an additional 2022 Budget Presentation be scheduled to commence at 9:00 a.m. at Parkland County Centre, Council Chambers on December 6, 2021 (all day). Council Member Kobasiuk reported on the Heritage Agricultural Society Annual General meeting. Council Member Birnie reported on the Agricultural Service Board meeting. Council Member Hoefsloot reported on the Agricultural Service Board meeting and the Stony Plain Seed Cleaning Plant. Council Member Wiedeman reported on an information session with George Cuff. Mayor Gamble reported on his meetings with the respective Mayors of Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and St. Albert. A motion was made by Council Member Hoefsloot that the Committee Reports be received for information, as presented. The motion carried unanimously. RECESS Mayor Gamble recessed the meeting at 10:23 a.m., and reconvened the meeting at an off-site location at 11:38 a.m., with all Council Members present. CLOSED SESSION RFD 21-202 Closed Session Proposed Motion That Council convene in closed session pursuant to Section 197 of the Municipal Government Act to meet in private to discuss matters protected from disclosure by Section 23 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. A motion was made by Council Member Kobasiuk that Council convene in closed session at 11:40 a.m., pursuant to Section 197 of the Municipal Government Act to meet in private to discuss matters protected from disclosure by Sections 21 & 24 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
