Parking Authority Minutes: June 17, 2020 THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PARKING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PASSAIC WAS HELD VIA ZOOM ON June 17, 2020 AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS. Amada D. Curling, Secretary read the following notice into record: IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 231 PUBLIC LAWS OF 1975, ADEQUATE NOTICE OF THIS MEETING WAS PROVIDED VIA FAX TO THE HERALD NEWS AND POSTED ON THE CITY HALL BULLETIN BOARD BY THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK: “IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY, BY GOVERNOR PHILIP MURPHY, REGARDING COVID-19 (“CORONAVIRUS”), CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC; THE REGULAR PARKING AUTHORITY MEETING WILL BE LIVE STREAMED BEGINNING AT 7:00 P.M. All voting “AYE” as the roll was called. ROLL CALL PRESENT: COMMISSIONER(S) BALBI, PEREZ, RITZ, SHPILSKY BUCKSTEIN ABSENT: ALLEN AND BALBI HEARING OF CITIZENS The public portion was opened: After ample time given and no one responding on a motion by Commissioner SHPILSKY and Commissioner BUCKSTEIN the Public Portion was closed. ROLL CALL PRESENT: COMMISSIONER(S) BALBI, PEREZ, RITZ, SHPILSKY BUCKSTEIN ABSENT: ALLEN AND BALBI 1 Parking Authority Minutes: June 17, 2020 RESOLUTIONS: THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION WAS TAKEN OFF THE AGENDA: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE PASSAIC PARKING AUTHORITY ON June 17, 2020 AT 7:00 P.M. OR ANYTIME THEREAFTER TO DISCUSS PENDING LITIGATION; CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS AND PERSONNEL MATTER. ROLL CALL PRESENT: COMMISSIONER(S) BALBI, PEREZ, RITZ, SHPILSKY BUCKSTEIN ABSENT: ALLEN AND BALBI -------------------------------- DISCUSSIONS: After a brief update by Director Fernandez, It was the consensus of the board to allow the use of parking facilities, as per the state of New Jersey Executive Order 150 Outdoor Seating and Outdoor Dining Area at one of our Parking Islands on Main Avenue (663 Main Ave June 12-June 22, 2020). BILL LIST: On a motion by Commissioner Perez and seconded by Commissioner Ritz, the bills were accepted and approved.
