BOARD OF TRUSTEES SPECIAL MEETING February 7, 2024 PRESENT: Mayor Monachino Lapey Trustee Bennett Trustee Owen-Michaane Trustee Case Trustee McLaughlin Manager Luft ABSENT: Attorney Cornachio PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE AND FIRE SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT Mayor Monachino Lapey led those assembled in the Pledge of Allegiance and notified those in attendance where the fire exits were located. The meeting was convened at six thirty in the evening. --------------- The Village Manager thanked the Board for holding this Special Meeting. She requested the meeting to appoint additional Election Inspectors in accordance with Election law. Four Inspectors were appointed at the last Board meeting. It took a few requests to get the list of Inspectors from Westchester County and then the people on the list had to be contacted. The Village also had to get a Spanish speaking Inspector. Two of the people to be appointed tonight are bilingual. This fulfills a state requirement. ---------------- RESOLUTION APPOINTING ADDITIONAL ELECTION INSPECTORS The Mayor read the names of the people to be appointed Elections Inspectors. After discussion and upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously RESOLVED, that the following people have been appointed Election Inspectors for the March 19, 2024 Village Election at the rate of eighteen dollars and seventy-four cents per hour. Karen E Kiernan Constance C Prescott Edward D Crespo Marcos Rollan BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Karen E. Kiernan is hereby appointed as chairperson. ---------------- PUBLIC COMMENT Mayor Monachino Lapey asked if there were comments from the public on this issue. There were no comments regarding the appointment of the Election Inspectors. EXECUTIVE SESSION The Mayor said that there would not be an Executive Session. There was no counsel in attendance. .
