FM announced that the committee had meet and shared news that the council was awarded a $3,000 grant via Arts Westchester. Jeff Watkins submitted the event on behalf of the council. The Town Public Library will have a table at the event. The committee will work with Russ Solomon to update the graphics for 2023 and in early June information on the event will be shared via press release, social media. There is a meeting next week of the committee and FM will share the information so that interested council members can attend. Program Committee: FM presented an idea for a new fall 2023 event. It was discussed by all members present. What emerged was a general idea for a free public reading/presentation comprised of submissions of prose, poetry, theater, opinion, memoir by Pelham community members. The theme discussed was “Home Sweet Home” The works selected would be read by members of the Pelham community with spoken word/theater experience. The group would not be required to rehearse extensively. A group would also have to select the material. KP suggested that HS writers and actors would be busy but would likely be receptive to participating. Concert Series: FM reminded people to book their concert slots for July. KP shared the name of a jazz musician who might be available. LR will call him about availability. Concordia is participating again.
