CITY OF PELICAN RAPIDS COUNCIL MINUTES - 11-08-00 The City Council of Pelican Rapids met in special session to canvas votes on Wednesday, 11-8-00, at 10:00 a.m., in the City Clerk’s Office. Present: Mayor Wayne Runningen, Council Members Dave Gottenborg, Denise Magnusson, John Waller III and Paulette Nettestad. Absent: none. Also present: Administrative Assistant Richard A. Jenson and Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Glenys Ehlert. Meeting called to order by Mayor Runningen. Motion by Waller, seconded by Nettestad to introduce the following resolution: WHEREAS, a record kept by the Judges of Election held November 7, 2000, shows a total of 834 votes cast in the City Election, and WHEREAS, the tabulation of votes for the various officials voted upon show a majority of the votes being cast for the following: Wayne Runningen, for the office of mayor with 746 votes; David Gottenborg, for the office of council member with 661 votes; Denise Magnusson, for the office of council member with 659 votes; and Paulette Nettestad, for the office of council member to fill a vacancy with 703 votes. Voting yes: Mayor Runningen, Council Members Waller, Nettestad, Gottenborg and Magnusson. Voting no: none. Motion passed unanimously and resolution declared duly adopted. Meeting adjourned.
