CITY OF PELICAN RAPIDS COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES – 11-06-02 The City Council of Pelican Rapids met in special session to canvas votes on Wednesday, 11-6-02, at 8:00 a.m., in Council Chambers, City Hall, 315 N. Broadway. Mayor Wayne Runningen, Council Members Dave Gottenborg, John E. Waller III and Paulette Nettestad were present. Council Member Denise Magnusson was absent. Administrative Assistant Richard A. Jenson and Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Glenys Ehlert were also present. Meeting called to order by Mayor Runningen. Motion by Gottenborg, seconded by Nettestad to introduce the following resolution: WHEREAS, a record kept by the Judges of Election held 11-05-02, shows a total of 707 votes cast in the City Election, and WHEREAS, the tabulation of votes for the various official voted upon show a majority of the votes being cast for the following: Wayne Runningen, for the office of mayor with 608 votes; John E. Waller, III, for the office of council member with 539 votes and Ben Woessner for the office of council member with 148 votes. Mayor Runningen, Council Members Nettestad, Gottenborg and Waller voted yes. No one voted no. Motion passed unanimously and resolution declared duly adopted. Meeting adjourned.
