CITY OF PELICAN RAPIDS COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES-12-05-05 The City of Pelican Rapids met at 7:00 p.m., Monday, 12-05-05, Council Chambers, City Hall. Mayor Wayne Runningen, Council Members John E. Waller, III, Richard Peterson and David Gottenborg were present. Council Member Ben Woessner was not present. Administrator Don Solga and Clerk-Treasurer Glenys Ehlert were also present. Judy Marko was the only member of the public present. Marko questioned value increase on her property. Mayor Runningen explained that valuations are based on state guidelines and sales of similar property in the city. He suggested Marko contact the assessor’s office and request that the city assessor do an updated inspection of the property. Mayor Runningen called the Truth in Taxation hearing to order. Administrator Don Solga reviewed the proposed 2006 Budget. $1,269,316.18 is the proposed budget for General Fund; this represents a 6.41% increase for the General Fund. Special Levy is proposed at $94,860 for 2006. Council Members discussed commercial building sales. Motion by Waller, seconded by Peterson, to adjourn the Truth in Taxation hearing at 7:40 p.m. Motion passed unanimously. Glenys Ehlert, CMC Clerk-Treasurer
