Sponsors: Jared Moore 4. 21-00223 RATIFICATION OF DISCUSSION PROVIDING DIRECTION ON MOVING FORWARD WITH THE MALCOLM YONGE GYM Recommendation: That City Council ratify the discussion that took place at a workshop held on February 22, 2021 wherein the Council consensus was to approach Lighthouse Christian Academy about a long-term lease, where market rate would not be an issue, and to explore the possibility of subdividing the lots that currently house the gym. Further, the City Council direct the Council Executive to partner with the Community Redevelopment Agency staff in developing an RFP for engaging said consultant. Persons in attendance at the City Council meeting are invited to stand during the invocation and to stand and recite the Pledge of Allegiance. However, such invitation shall not be construed as a demand, order, or any other type of command. No person in attendance at the meeting shall be required to participate in any opening invocation that is offered or to participate in the Pledge of Allegiance. You may remain seated within the City Council Chambers or exit the City Council Chambers and return upon completion of the opening invocation and/or Pledge of Allegiance if you do not wish to participate in or witness the opening invocation and/or the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.
