Advisory Committee on Police Community Relations Minutes
December 8, 2022 – 5:30 P.M.
Hybrid Meeting; Zoom and in-person at Peoria Police Department’s Training Room
The Advisory Committee on Police Community Relations met at the Peoria Police Department’s Training
Room and remotely via Zoom, Thursday, December 8, 2022, with proper notice posted. Chair Burch called
the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL - Present: Allen, Burch, Echevarria, King, Lang, and Schaidle. Absent: Boone, Burnside,
Jackson, and Wilson.
WELCOME
On August 19, 2022, the Governor signed a new Disaster Proclamation extending the statewide declaration
through Friday, January 6, 2022. With the signing of this new disaster proclamation, public meetings may
continue to be held remotely, subject to the requirements of Public Act 101-0640 (listed below).
Commissions and committees may still hold their

ADJOURNMENT – Due to lack of quorum, the Chair moved to adjourn the meeting. The meeting
adjourned at 6:45PM.

On October 14, 2022, the Governor signed a new Disaster Proclamation extending the
statewide declaration through Saturday, November 12, 2022. With the signing of this new
disaster proclamation, public meetings may continue to be held remotely, subject to the
requirements of Public Act 101-0640 (listed below). Commissions and committees may still hold
their meeting in person or in a hybrid meeting, as long as a quorum is met.
A hybrid Advisory Committee on Police Community Relations Meeting will be held on
December 8, 2022, at 5:30 p.m.

Anyone that cannot attend the Police Community Relations Advisory Committee Meeting
can send their comments to Christina Kirby by 12:00 p.m. on December 8, 2022, via
email at ckirby@peoriagov.org. The email should be labeled “Comment for December 8,
2022, Advisory Committee on Police Community Relations Meeting,” and we ask that
you include your name and contact information. Live comments will be given priority to
electronically submitted comments.
