Minutes from the Petersburg City Council meeting held on: October 20, 2016 -1– ______________________________________________________________________________ The Special Meeting of the Petersburg City Council was held on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at the City Hall in Council Chambers. Mayor Myers called the special meeting to order at 6:30p.m. 1. ROLL CALL: Present: Council Member Darrin Hill Council Member Brian A. Moore Vice Mayor Samuel Parham Mayor W. Howard Myers Absent: Council Member David R. Coleman Council Member John A. Hart, Sr. (arrived at 7:52pm) Council Member Treska Wilson-Smith Present from City Administration: Clerk of Council Nykesha Jackson, CMC City Attorney Joseph E. Preston Acting City Manager Dironna M. Belton 2. PURPOSE: a. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and consider the contract for Robert Bobb Group and discussion on forensic audit. Mayor Myers stated, “Ladies and gentlemen we are going to go into recess. We are awaiting one of our council members to arrive and he should be here in a little while. It would be approximately 60 minutes.” City Council went into recess at 6:32pm. City Council came out of recess at 7:52pm. Mayor Myers stated, “Good evening again everyone we are going to come out of recess. Council Member Hart has joined us. Mr. City Attorney, do we need to do roll again or move forward?” Mr. Preston stated, “I think you should ROLL CALL: Present: Council Member John A. Coleman Council Member Treska Wilson-Smith Mr. Preston stated, “Let me state the purpose of the meeting tonight is to vote up or down on the Robert Bobb agreement. It is my legal position that since no action was taken due to Mr. Hart indicating that at the last meeting he needed more time to review this matter we are now going to have an up or down vote on whether or not the Robert Bobb Group will be someone that we enter into contract with. Council Member Hart moved to direct the Acting City Manager to sign the Robert Bobb contract to take effect Tuesday, October 25, 2016. The motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Parham. There was no discussion on the motion, which was approved on roll call vote. On roll call vote, voting yes: Hart, Moore, Parham and Myers; Voting No: Hill; Absent: Coleman and Wilson-Smith There was discussion among City Council and staff on the forensic audit. 3.
