SPECIALMEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL GEORGE FINA MUNICIPAL BUILDING - 314 EDMOND ROAD NORTHWEST Thursday August 1, 2019 6:30pm MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilman Albert Gliechmann, Councilman John Brown, Councilman Kevan Blasdel, Councilman Melissa Ashford and Mayor Kurt Mayabb ABSENT: Councilman Bobby Williamson STAFF PRESENT: Some Staff present as audience members ROLL CALL: Mayor Kurt Mayabb called roll and a quorum was present. At 6:37pm Mayor Mayabb addressed the audience in reference to the road bond and that the council wanted to hear their concerns. The meeting would be interactive with the public. City Manager Jason Orr had a power point presentation on some of the facts surrounding the issues the city is facing when it comes to our roads and how to make repairs. Several citizens addressed the council. Topic of Discussions where: Doing roads that would benefit more people Possible oversite committee Doing road counts ACOG funding- not an option at this time De-annexation Road Bond in favor of and against An additional meeting to discuss the road bond was scheduled for August 15, 2019.
