SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL GEORGE FINA MUNICIPAL BUILDING - 314 EDMOND ROAD NORTHWEST Friday, March 26, 2021 4:00pm MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Kurt Mayabb, Mayor Pro Tem Kevan Blasdel, Councilman Melissa Ashford, Councilman Jack Jackson, Councilman Austin Redus, and Councilman Bobby Williamson MEMBERS ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Jason Orr, City Clerk Jennifer Smith, City Secretary Arielle Garcia, and City Attorney Michael Seagler 1. CALL TO ORDER - Mayor Kurt Mayabb called the meeting to order at 4:00pm. 2. ROLL CALL - City Secretary Arielle Garcia called roll and a quorum was present 3. BUSINESS ITEMS – a) Approval to purchase John Deere M15 Flex Wing Rotary at state bid price. b) Approval to purchase John Deere 2020 50G Compact Excavator at state bid price. c) Approval to purchase (2) 2500 Crew Cab Rams at state bid price. d) Approval to purchase John Deere 772G Motor Grader with 6WD at state bid price. Mayor Kurt Mayabb addressed the council City Attorney Michael Seagler, can we vote on these items if they were tabled this month at the regular city council meet and to be brought back next month? The council needs to pay attention to the motions you make. City Attorney Michael Seagler addressed the council I have not seen the minutes to know what the motion was stated as, but if it was stated next month; no, we cannot vote on these items. Councilman Melissa Ashford addressed the council Mayor Kurt Mayabb, if you knew it was stated that way, why didn’t you say something prior to this moment? Why are you purposefully hoping this up? 4. EXECUTIVE SESSION Councilman Bobby Williamson made a motion to recess to executive session. Motion was seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Kevan Blasdel. VOTE WAS: AYE: Councilman Melissa Ashford, Councilman Jack Jackson, Councilman Bobby Williamson, Councilman Austin Redus, and Mayor Pro Tem Kevan Blasdel. NAY: None a) Discussion on pending investigation, claim or action with the City Attorney as provided for in 25 O.S., section 307 (b)(4). Councilman Jack Jackson made a motion to adjourn and reconvene regular city council. Motion was seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Kevan Blasdel. VOTE WAS: AYE: Councilman Melissa Ashford, Councilman Jack Jackson, Councilman Bobby Williamson, Councilman Austin Redus, and Mayor Pro Tem Kevan Blasdel. NAY: None No action was taken.
