CITY OF PIEDMONT –MEETING OF THE PARK & RECREATION BOARD George Fina Municipal Building 314 Edmond Road NW Wednesday, August 16th, 2023 6:00 p.m. 1) CALL TO ORDER – Chairman 2) ROLL CALL – Secretary 3) PRESENTATION/PROCLAMTION/OATH/APPOINTMENTS- a) Appointment of Billy Saunders as board member b) Appointment of Kyle Cornman as board member 4) CONSENT AGENDA- All items on the consent agenda are non-controversial and may be approved by one motion. a) Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes for April 19th, 2023. b) Approval of Special Meeting Minutes for May 24th, 2023. 5) BUSINESS ITEMS – a) Solutions on Park Safety, Health and Security items. b) Discussion and possible action on new potential board members. c) Discussion and possible action on the Girl Scout Park Project repair. d) Discussion and possible action on work day at the Piedmont Community Park with DCP to include the following:  Volleyball Court o New sand and black barrier o Border around the sand o Net repair  Sprinkler Lines  North Fence   Tree Trimming  Drainage run-off on the South-East side e) Discussion and possible action on closing of the splash pad and park for the year of 2023. f) Discussion and possible action on park maintenance. g) Discussion and possible action on maintenance of the trails. 6) NEW BUSINESS – “New business,” as used herein, shall mean any matter not known about or which could not have been reasonably foreseen prior to the time of posting.
