MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE MAYOR’S YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE HELD ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2017 IN THE TOWN COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 1360 N. NIELS HANSEN LANE, LAKESIDE, AZ 85929 A. Call to Order: Chairman Bailee Babbitt called the meeting to order At 6:55 a.m. Pledge of Allegiance: Bailee Babbitt led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: The following members were present: Bailee Babbitt Chairman Keala Bratsch Historian Josiah Goode Member Deborah James Member Rebekah James Secretary Skyla Rigg Member Daniel West Treasurer Joseph West Member Also present: Matthew Williams Community Services Manager Stephanie Irwin Town Mayor Keith Johnson Town Manager B. Minutes: Historian Bratsch moved to approve the following minutes: Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting August 10, 2017 The motion was seconded by Member Joseph West and was carried with an 8-0 voice vote. C. Old Business: C.1 Discussion After Action Report League Conference 2017 Council discussed Pros and Cons from the 2017 Arizona League Conference. Ex. Daniel West suggested learning more about the works of government. Council also decided to have more of the council carry the town flag during the flag presentation. C.2 Discussion: Cool Runnings Event 9/16/17 Community Services Manager Williams informed council about Process of the Cool Runnings Event. He then told those who will attend that they will be helping with registration and will attend to other tasks as needed.  C.3 Discussion: Community Bonfire 9/21/17 Community Services Manager Williams informed the council member who will be attending the Community Bonfire to be at Mountain Meadows at 7:00 the night of the 21st of September. Council discussed Burger Burn, same night, at 5:00 pm. D. New Business: D.1 Discussion: Nature Center Dinner Volunteers 9/16/17 Community Services Manager Williams informed council that those helping with set-up for Nature Center Dinner need to be at the Nature Center the morning of the 16tht at 8:00 am. D.2 Discussion: Tourism Forum 10/13/17 Community Services Manager Williams informed council that the Tourism Forum was at the Pinetop Country Club in the Club House. This event will start at 11:00 am. D.3 Discussion: Trunk or Treat 10/31/17 Community Services Manager Williams reported that the 2017 Trunk or Treat will be at Mountain Meadows at 5:30pm, and council members attending should be there at 5:00 pm. The sponsors are the MYAC, Storm 98.5, the White Mountain Nature Center, and Robert Pico at State Farm. Council decided to hold two costume contests, one at 6:30 pm, and the other at 7:30 pm the night of Trunk or Treat. D.4 Discussion: Senior Center Service Project Community Services Manager Williams gave to do list from Senior Center to council and they selected a couple tasks on the list to complete along with other clubs in Blue Ridge High School. (Community Service hours). E. Public Comments: Chairman Bailee Babbitt called for public comments. No comments were offered. F.
