Minutes of the Town Council Regula Meeting – May 2, 2019 Page 14 In response to Council Member Dahnk, Director Patterson conveyed that ADEQ really wants the Town to get into household hazardous waste; it requires a concrete slab with containment on the outside of the concrete. He has no problem with it and he wants to get there; however, he currently does not have enough money to include it in the program. He hoped that as the program does good, we are able to pay the loan payments and everything works out and that we can start moving some money into capital, taking hazardous waste would be the first thing he will take on next. Mayor Irwin called for public hearing to allow comments on this matter. In response to Kay Alderton, Director Patterson conveyed that the collection center will be accepting metal, aluminum and mixed metal. The mixed metal will go to Show Low metal yard; they offered a high rate (65 cent a pound) if we bring aluminum in a full size bin. He added that he will use on of the trailer for the aluminum because he doesn’t think it will take a 40-yard can. Mayor Irwin conveyed that the alarm permit fee in the schedule indicates $25.00. She shared that she just recently paid $50.00 for her permit. In response to Mayor Irwin, Chief Barnes conveyed that he believes that the bill she received was for two years. There being no further comments, Mayor Irwin declared the public hearing closed. Council Member Bowen moved to adopt Resolution No. 19-1504, adopting the FY 2019-2020 Consolidated Fee Schedule for the Town of Pinetop-Lakeside with changes to the fee schedule to include the fee for Recycling, up to 50 gallon trash bag for $1.00 each.
