MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CALLED WORK SESSION OF PIPERTON BOARD OF MAYOR AND COMMISSIONERS June 3, 2020, 6:00 P.M. The Piperton Board of Mayor and Commissioners met for a special called work session on June 03, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, with Board members: Vice-Mayor Mike Binkley, Commissioner Hugh Davis, Commissioner Preston Trotter and Commissioner David Crislip present along with City Manager Steve Steinbach. Mayor Henry Coats and City Recorder Beverly Holloway were absent. Agenda item 1. Call to Order, establish quorum Action taken: Vice-Mayor Mike Binkley called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. and established a quorum was present. Agenda item 2. Presentation of the Preliminary FY 2021 Budget Steve Steinbach, City Manager, presented to the Board the Preliminary FY 2020-2021 Budget, including projected revenues and proposed operating/capital expenditures for the General, Enterprise and Special Revenue Funds respectively. Additionally, Mr. Steinbach presented the preliminary department operating and capital budgets, which included a proposal for two new part-time Public Works Department positions and 1 Building Inspector position. Agenda item 3. Adjournment at 8:09 p.m. Action taken: Commissioner Hugh Davis made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:09 p.m., seconded by Commissioner Preston Trotter.
