MINUTES OF PIPERTON BOARD OF MAYOR AND COMMISSIONER SPECIAL CALLED WORK SESSION April 5, 2023 5:30 P.M. The Piperton Board of Mayor and Commissioners met in a Special Called Work Session on April 5, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall. Board members: Mayor Henry Coats, Vice-Mayor Mike Binkley, Commissioner David Crislip, Commissioner Russ Fletcher and Commissioner Brett Morris were present along with City Manager Steve Steinbach. City Recorder Beverly Holloway was absent. Agenda item 1. Call to Order Mayor Henry Coats called the work session to order at 5:30 p.m., and established that a quorum was present. Agenda item 2. Fire/Police Center Update Mr. Steinbach gave an update on the proposed joint Fire/Police Center and discussed the process involved in this project. Agenda item 3. Roads Discussion Mayor Coats led a discussion concerning road conditions and discussed increasing property taxes over the next several years to help with the cost of the repairs and other capital projects. Agenda item 4. Piper House Renovations Update Mr. Steinbach gave an update on the project and discussion ensued. Agenda item 5. Adjournment Vice-Mayor Mike Binkley moved to adjourn the work session, seconded by Commissioner Bret Morris.
