MINUTES OF PIPERTON BOARD OF MAYOR AND COMMISSIONER SPECIAL CALLED WORK SESSION April 3, 2024 5:00 P.M. The Piperton Board of Mayor and Commissioners met in a Special Called Work Session on April 3, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall. Board members: Mayor Henry Coats, Vice- Mayor Mike Binkley, Commissioner Russ Fletcher and Commissioner Brett Morris were present along with City Manager Steve Steinbach. Commissioner David Crislip and City Recorder Beverly Holloway were absent. Agenda item 1. Call to Order Mayor Henry Coats called the work session to order at 5:15 p.m., and established that a quorum was present. Agenda item 2. FY 2023 Audit Mr. Steinbach distributed copies of the Comptroller’s letter; discussion ensued. Agenda item 3. Capital Projects FY 2024 Mr. Steinbach gave an update regarding Street Paving, Special Census, GIS Software/Hardware, City App, IT Vendor Selection, Fire/Police Land Acquisition, Piper House/Park, Fire Equipment, Police Equipment, Police Cars, SCADA Implementation, TARP Projects (WWTP; Water Line Design; Piperton Farms Sewer) and Unfinished Projects (PW Mezzanine; Firing Range; Keough Road Widening); discussion ensued. Agenda item 4. FY 2025 Budget Mr. Steinbach gave an overview of proposed Capital items such as snow plow attachments, fire truck dash cams, flock cameras, Piper Park, police cars; discussion ensued. Mr. Steinbach gave an overview of proposed Operating items; Employee Health Insurance; Employee Compensation (5%); Payroll Service Firm; Personnel Expansion (Police); discussion ensued. Agenda item 5. Adjournment Vice-Mayor Mike Binkley moved to adjourn the work session, seconded by Commissioner Bret Morris.
