MINUTES TOWN OF PITTSBORO BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MONDAY, JULY 13, 2020 REGULAR MEETING 7:00 PM Virtual Attendance: Mayor Jim Nass, Mayor Pro Tern Pamela Baldwin, Commissioner Kyle Shipp, Commissioner Michael Fiocco, Commissioner Jay Farrell and Commissioner John Bonitz. Virtual Staff Members: Attorney Paul Messick, Interim Town Manager Bob Morgan, Interim Police Chief Shorty Johnson, Planning Director Jeff Jones. Mayor Nass called the meeting to order and asked for a moment of silence. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Commissioner Fiocco made a motion to approve regular agenda, seconded by Mayor Pro Tern Baldwin. Vote Aye-5 Nay-0 NEW BUSINESS 1. Policy for naming Town Parks. Action recommended: To discuss and form policy. Commissioner Bonitz made motion to asked Interim Town Manager Bob Morgan to create a draft and have it placed on next Boards meeting, seconded by Mayor Pro Tern Baldwin. Vote Aye-5 Nay-0 Commissioner Fiocco made a motion to go into Closed Session, seconded by Mayor Pro Tern Baldwin. Vote Aye-5 Nay-0 2. Goals and Expectations for New Town Manager. Action recommended: Discussion. 3. Town Manager Contract. DRAFT DRAFT  Action recommended: Approve Contract. (Final Draft hasn't been completed may need to go into close session to discuss final draft). Commissioner Fiocco made motion to come back into Open Session, seconded by Commissioner Farrell. Vote Aye-5 Nay-0 BOARD DIRECTIVES ADDITIONAL UPDATES AND REPORTS 1. Commissioner Concerns: Commissioner Shipp would like Interim Bob Morgan's feedback on the board. The Board would like a written letter 30 days after Morgan leaves. Commissioner Bonitz has concerns with the HOA's and the Town speaking together. He would like better communication between the both. Commissioner Bonitz has concerns about the Water Task Force and how they have exceeded their commission date as of June 30. Once the samples report is received, he would like a response from the Task Force. ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Bonitz made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Commissioner Fiocco at 10:04pm.
