TOWN OF PITTSBORO BOARD OF COMMJSSIONERS JANUARY 11, 2023 SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES PAGE 1 OF 2 TOWN OF PITTSBORO The Pittsboro Board of Commissioners met in Special Meeting on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 5:30 pm in the conference room at Town Hall with Mayor Cindy Perry presiding . The meeting was called to order at 5:32 pm . ELECTED TOWN OFFICIALS PRESENT: Mayor Cindy S. Perry, Mayor Pro Tern Pamela Baldwin, Commissioners Jay Farrell, Kyle Shipp and James Vose. ELECTED TOWN OFFICIALS ABSENT: Commissioner John Bonitz. TOWN STAFF PRESENT: HR Director Jennifer Eakes and Town Clerk Carrie Bailey. CLOSED SESSION Mayor Perry called for a motion to enter Closed Session. Mayor Pro Tem Baldwin made a motion to enter Closed Session pursuant to N.C.G.S. § 143-318.11. (a)(6) pertaining to the appointment of an Interim Town Manager, seconded by Commissioner Vose. Vote: Aye-4 Nay-0 Motion carried unanimously. The Board engaged in Closed Session conversation. Commissioner Bonitz arrived at 5:38pm. Commissioner Bonitz made a motion to exit Closed Session, seconded by Commissioner Vose. Vote: Aye-5 Nay-0 Motion passed unanimously. The Board discussed the projected timeline presented by Developmental Associates interviewing process for a Town Manager. The Board recommended asking to move the proposed February 3, 2023 date to February 6, 2023 to allow the Board sufficient time to review all applicants. ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Shipp made a motion to adjourn at 7:18 pm, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Baldwin.
