Community Pride Committee Meeting

MINUTES COMMUNITY PRIDE COMMITTEE JANUARY 23, 2017 5:00 PM TOWN HALL, 549 MAIN ST. 1. Call to Order/Roll Call: Present: Craig Zangari, Christine Thiel, Kathi Lishman, Staff: Steve Youel Absent: Deb Power, Josette Johnson Guest: Cindy Podsiadlo 2. Adoption of Agenda: Moved for adoption by Kathi. Seconded by Craig. Motion carried. 3. Approval of Meeting Minutes – October 17, 2016: Tabled to next meeting. 4. Public Comment – Brief Non Agenda Items: None 5. Treasurer’s Report: No report. Craig Zangari volunteered to fill the vacated role of Treasurer and will meet with Steve to go over associated duties. 6. Status Reports: A. Community Gardens: Kathi reported on the Monument Garden progress. Steve is drafting a City Council Staff report requesting additional funding for phase two of the project. B. Steve reported that due to flooding of Hangtown Creek Public Works crews caused damage to the demonstration garden behind Mosquito Outfitters. C. Steve will call Deb Power regarding potential upgrades to the Mooney Lot Garden. D. Cindy Podsiadlo shared her concern regarding people leaving garbage and other derbies within the Redwood Garden on Broadway. Steve shared that an effort will be made to clean up the area and possibly remove some of the junipers near the highway. 7. Work Party Calendar: Each gardener will schedule their own. 8.
