Highway 50 Hotspot Study – (Attachment F) The Hot Spot Study was stalled after close coordination between Caltrans, the City, and EDCTC. Based on the outcomes of the Caltrans initial work, EDCTC and the City determined additional resources were necessary in order to deliver data and analysis to better inform the outcome and help shape a path forward. EDCTC secured additional grant funding to hire a consultant who is now working on data collection and alternatives analysis. This will include looking at alternatives to improve traffic in Placerville, cost estimates, modelling, and micro- simulation for three of the alternatives selected.
