ADOPTION OF THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF October 21, 2016 5. ITEMS OF INTEREST TO THE PUBLIC: (The Committee shall not take action on this item.) Comments may be limited to 3 minutes. This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Committee on any matter not on the Agenda that is within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Committee. Commander Kim Nida, Placerville Police Department; and Committee Member Debbie Miller, will present information on El Dorado County’s homelessness problem and the efforts made by Opportunity Knocks who are working to create a single point of-entry for homeless services. 8. AGENDA November 18, 2016 1  Convene a Health and Wellness community roundtable to discuss the possibility of a focused effort to expand and diversify the health and wellness offerings in Placerville. The committee met on October 27th and again on November 10th to discuss the roundtable and how we want to proceed. Current participants on the committee include Laurel Brent-Bumb, Debra Miller, Dolly Wager, Patricia B. Review Strategy 1.4: Identify inventory of vacant and/or underutilized commercial buildings and property and prepare websites/brochures for marketing to future users. (Continued from October 21, 2016 meeting.) st C. Discuss the election of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson. At the October 21 meeting, Chair Brown resigned as Chair and allowed Vice Chair Miller to take over running the meeting. In order to allow Vice Chair Miller to serve two terms as Chair, if desired, it is recommended that we appoint Chair Miller as Interim Chair through March of 2017. At that time, a permanent Chair could be appointed. It is also recommended that an Interim Vice Chair be appointed at this time in order to fill in between now and March should Chair Miller not be available. 9. STAFF AND COMMITTEE MEMBER COMMUNICATIONS: A. Update on Blairs Lane Bridge Replacement Project B. Update on Proposed “Sidewalk Dining” Ordinance C. Update on Hampton Inn and Suites Hotel Development Application D. Update on Proposed Mosquito Road Hotel 10. ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA: 11. NEXT MEETING: December 16, 2016 Regular Meeting. Staff is recommending that the December meeting be cancelled. The next meeting would then be held on January 20, 2017.
