REGULAR MEETING MINUTES PLACERVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION TELECONFERENCE (Virtual Meeting) TUESDAY, MAY 4, 2021, 6:00 P.M. CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG ROLL CALL: Members Present: Frenn; Gotberg (Vice Chair); Kiehne; Lepper (Chair); List Members Absent: None Staff Present: Planning Commission Staff Liaison / Executive Secretary /City Planner Painter; Development Services Director Rivas CONSENT CALENDAR 1. Consideration to Approve Agenda 2. Consideration to Approve April 20, 2021 Regular Meeting Minutes 3. Receive and File Planning Commission Bylaw amendment to Article 9(n), adopted by the Commission on April 20, 2021 Motion: Member Kiehne, seconded by Member Gotberg to approve the Consent Calendar. Ayes: Frenn, Gotberg, Kiehne, Lepper, List Noes: None ITEMS OF INTEREST TO THE PUBLIC Jennifer Chapman commented on historic resources, districts and buildings. COMMUNICATIONS Staff announced receipt of communications from Jennifer Chapman and Celia Lux after the agenda packets had been prepared. Staff further announced the communication would be distributed to the Commission as part of a future agenda. EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP SESSION 4. Benefits of Historic Resource Surveys and Local Designation (Video) Speaker: Amanda Blosser, Historian, Office of Historic Preservation at the June 4, 2015 Workshop Co-Sponsored by Office of Historic Preservation and City of Placerville, Town Hall. Item was for informational purposes. No action taken by the Commission. Addressing the Commission were Jennifer Chapman and Ruth Michelson. 5. Community of Choices (Video): View Finders Too, Exploring Community Appearance - The Dunn Foundation (2002) Item was for informational purposes. No action taken by the Commission. Addressing the Commission were Jennifer Chapman; Ruth Michelson, and Kirk Smith. MATTERS FROM COMMISSIONERS AND STAFF Staff announced upcoming meeting scheduling. Vice Chair Gotberg informed the Commission of the release of draft plan documents for the Placerville region from the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board.
