Recreation and Parks Commission Meeting

CITY OF PLACERVILLE RECREATION & PARKS COMMISSION December 15, 2021 MINUTES PRESENT: Recreation & Parks Commission: Andrew Mathews, Kelley Rogers, and Mark Sandperl. Recreation & Parks Staff: Matt Lishman and Terry Zeller. ABSENT: Kristin Becker and Steven Vance, Commissioners GUESTS: None ADOPTION OF AGENDA: Mr.Sandpearl made a motion to adopt the agenda. Mr. Rogers seconded the motion. Motion approved unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Mr. Rogers made a motion to approve the minutes of November 17, 2021. Mr.Sandpearl seconded the motion. Motion approved unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT: None ACTION ITEMS: 2022 NFL Youth Flag Football: Mr. Lishman shared a proposal with the Commission to offer a Youth NFL Flag Football Program through the City. The proposed fees are $189 per player and an early bird fee of $179 per player. Mr. Lishman shared with the Commission that if approved by the Commission it will go to City Council for final approval. Mr. Sandpearl made a motion to approve staff’s recommendation. Mr. Rogers 2nd the motion. Motion approved unanimously. Discussion of Changing Monthly Meeting Time to 5:30: Mr. Zeller recommended changing the commission meetings to 5:30 pm. Mr. Rogers made a motion to approve staff’s recommendation. Mr. Sandpearl 2nd the motion. Motion approved unanimously. STAFF REPORTS: Youth Assistance Fund: Mr. Lishman reported that since the last report there were 0 requests for funding. There was $100 in donations. There was $268 credited back to the fund due to basketball being canceled this year. The projected fund balance is $9,874.77. Meeting adjourned at 6:11 pm
