CITY OF PLACERVILLE RECREATION & PARKS COMMISSION May 18, 2016 MINUTES PRESENT: Recreation & Parks Commission: Andrew Mathews, Jackie Neau, Peter Nolan, and Richard Zito Recreation & Parks Staff: Steve Youel and Matt Lishman ABSENT: Jerry Barton, Commissioner GUESTS: None ADOPTION OF AGENDA: Mr. Zito made the motion to approve the agenda. Mr. Nolan seconded the motion. Motion approved unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Mr. Mathews made the motion to approve the minutes of April 20, 2016. Mr. Zito seconded the motion. Motion approved unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT: None STATUS REPORTS: Youth Assistance Fund: Mr. Lishman reported that there were 12 requests for funding in the amount of $422.50. We received $100 in donations and the projected fund balance is $6,168.07. Lions Park Scoreboard Replacement Project: Mr. Lishman reported that the fields have been too wet to complete the installation. We hope to have the boards installed sometime in June. ACTION ITEMS: CASA El Dorado Donation Request: Mr. Lishman reported Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is requesting $200 worth of aqua bucks (48) to provide for children who are unable to enjoy the City pool due to the fact that they simply don’t have enough money. Mr. Lishman shared that the Commission typical approves requests for aqua bucks in the of five per organization. Mr. Mathews made a motion to donate 5 aqua bucks to CASA. Mr. Nolan seconded the motion, motion approved unanimously. It was also recommended to let C.A.S.A. know about the youth fund for pool passes. Meeting adjourned at 6:11 pm.
