PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE Thursday, March 5, 2026 Meeting will be held in person. Common Council Chamber, City Hall 75 N. Bonson Street, Platteville, WI 53818 Minutes 03/05/2026 Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 1:00 pm Members Present: Robert Mingerink; Peter Davis; Natasha Geyer; Demetri Andrews; Amy Foley; Ela Kakde, Tony McFall. Members Not Present: Staff Present: Howard Crofoot, Ryan Kowalski Minutes – Davis moved to approve the February minutes, seconded by Kakde. Voice vote. Motion carried. Public Comments – No Public Comments Old Business – Mingerink discussed a survey that was sent out to UWP students. 168 students responded with suggestions such as having a short weekend route that went out to Walmart, offering better bus route information, removing the Clare Bank stop and possibly adding a central stop on Main Street. Davis advised UWP would be willing to support adding another route in 2027. Bus Route Discussion 2027 – It was discussed adding the purple route for 4-5 hours on the weekend. Davis made a motion to end the current contract with Davis Bus at the end of 2026 and to start the RFP process. Second, by Geyer. Voice vote. Motion Carried Meeting Schedule – Next meeting will be April 8th @ 9:30 am in council chambers. Adjourn Motion by Andrews, second by Kakde to adjourn the meeting at 1:30 pm. Voice vote. Motion carried.
