CITY OF POCATELLO, IDAHO SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING GROSSMAN GROUP, LLC DECEMBER 5, 2016 -ROLL CALL The Special City Council meeting was called to order at 3:47 p.m. by Mayor Brian Blad. Council members present were Heidi Adamson, Roger Bray, Jim Johnston and Gary Moore. Council members Steve Brown and Michael L. Orr were excused. Mayor Blad announced that the meeting was called to discuss City projects and priorities with representatives from Grossman Group, LLC, the City’s consultant, pertaining to federal government objectives. Larry Grossman, Grossman Group, LLC, Chief Executive Officer, gave an overview of activity in Washington, D.C. since the recent Presidential Election. He noted there is a possibility that an infrastructure Bill may be developed. It is unknown what may be included in the proposed Bill. Discussion followed regarding possible items the City could submit if the Bill is realized. It was suggested that City department heads provide a short list of needs in anticipation of the Bill’s passage. Funding issues regarding Federal Entitlement Programs were also discussed. Future needs in the community were reviewed. Mayor Blad feels Mr. Grossman’s expertise regarding processes in Washington, D.C. is valuable to the City. He added that Mr. Grossman is able to give a professional perspective to guide the City’s requests being submitted for consideration. Mr. Johnston was excused from the meeting at 4:47 p.m. at which time a quorum of the City Council was lost. Mayor Blad adjourned the meeting at 4:54 p.m. APPROVED BY: BRIAN C.
