Any applicant or member of the public wishing to speak on any item that is listed on the agenda is requested to adhere to the following protocol procedures/guidelines: a) When called upon, the person shall state his /her name and address for the record, and, if speaking for an organization or other group, identify the organization or group represented. Whenever any group of persons wishes to address the Cultural Arts Commission on the same subject matter, the Chairperson may, at his /her discretion, request that the group choose a spokesperson to address the Commission. b) All remarks should be addressed to the Cultural Arts Commission as a whole, and not to individual Commissioners. Questions, if any, should be directed to the presiding Chairperson who will determine whether, or in what manner an answer will be provided. 3. Approval of Draft Cultural Arts Commission Action Minutes Special Meeting of December 14, 2020. Attachments: Draft CAC Action Minutes 12-14-2020 H. PUBLIC HEARING: I. OLD BUSINESS: J. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Discussion: Call for Applications for Cultural Arts Commission Citizen’s Advisory Committee Members and Term Status of Existing Committee Members Staff will provide a draft Call for Applications form for Cultural Arts Commission Citizen ’s Advisory Committee Members, and facilitate a discussion on existing applications received, promotion of application to the general public, and current term status for existing Committee members. 2. Discussion: Youth-Focused Arts Staff will facilitate a discussion related to Goal 5 of the Cultural Arts Commission 2020-2025 Action Plan (Youth) to “actively engage with local youth in the artistic and creative process of public art to assist young artists in reaching their professional and personal potential.” Discussion will include potential Actions including, but not limited to : Paint a Utility Box Program, Youth-focused Request for Qualifications, and ensuring a 50% in-lieu fund commitment to directly supporting youth-based art projects and initiatives.
