MINUTES
Poolesville Planning Commission
February 14, 2018
CALL TO ORDER:
Commissioner Sneed called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM. Commissioners Bupp, Tims and Stump were in attendance, as well
as Town Engineer John Strong and Town Manager Wade Yost.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Manager Yost announced that Dunkin Donuts/Baskins Robbins is working through issues with Montgomery County stormwater
plans and hopes to be presenting to the Town by April.
OPEN FORUM:
None
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Commissioner Tims moved to approve the minutes of January 17, 2018. Seconded by Commissioner Bupp.
Motion carried 4-0.
NEW BUSINESS:
Hartz Concept Plan
Gary Hartz and Planner Charles Grimsley presented the proposed 18-acre subdivision into 8, 2 acre lots. The board and applicant
discussed the details required to develop a Preliminary Plan. The Commission agreed that they would recommend water and sewer
allocations and made several recommendations that staff would develop into written recommendations.
OLD BUSINESS
Streetscape
The Board discussed the last streetscape workshop and comments that came in from the public. Among the comments were
concerns from the farming community that lane width and round-a-bout construction methods take equipment size into
consideration. Discussions also included the need to ensure crosswalk safety and the annual Poolesville Day parade.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Bupp made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Commissioner Tims. Motion passed 4-0.
