2021 Ford F350 truck has been ordered and should arrive in mid May.
DPW has been extremely busy with the change in the weather. Switching from plow and salt truck to
lawn debris pickup and park cleanup. Re-installing the basketball hoops and tennis nets in the
park. With help from the town of Dickinson they created access from the Village hall upper parking to
the rear of the building.
It should be noted that the first day of yard waste clean up took about 13 dump truck loads to
complete. We are temporarily a man down but they continue to impress.
Planning – meeting 5/11/21 at 6:30PM on 25 Riverview Zoning appeal
Public Safety – James DeGennaro, Trustee
Parks, Water & Sewer – Robert Moss, Trustee
1. 347 remote meters installed (59%), 243 remaining.
2. John has been really putting in some great time with sprucing up the Park ball fields. Tilled by
Joel Kie and we have gotten a load of Diamond mix to spread on those fields.
3. Sports Fields are filling up nicely with youth sports and adult softball. Waiting on Insurance
binders from non civic groups before finalizing.

4. Civics are once again looking to put together a 4/4 Basketball tournament and will be getting
back with me on details. They are really hoping to get this in this year.
Water/Sewer
5. Water Main break on Rochelle and has been fixed
6. Watson Ave Sewer Pit is up and running 1/2 way. Still waiting for parts on the second Pump.
Do we want to move forward with the permanent fix to the pit from when the Flood
happened?
7. Curb Box is on the schedule to be fixed for the Abbey house on Chenango once fixed a letter
will be drawn up to send to property owner for reimbursement.
Zoning Board of Appeals – meeting 5/11/21 at 6:30PM on 25 Riverview Zoning appeal

Proposed LOCAL LAW NO. 3 FOR THE YEAR 2021
A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 60 OF THE
VILLAGE CODE ENTITLED “VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC”
Be it enacted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Port Dickinson as follows:
Section 1. Section 60-24 of the Village Code entitled “Penalties for offenses” shall hereby be amended as follows:
A. Remains the same.
B. Remains the same.
C. Violations of Section 60-14.7 “No Parking (Handicapped Parking)” shall be punishable by a fine
of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00); however, each violator may, within seven business days,
exclusive of the date on which the ticket was issued, or of the time when such notice was attached to
such vehicle, pay to the Town Court of the Town of Dickinson as and for a penalty and in full
satisfaction of such violation, the sum of Seventy-Five Dollars ($75.00). If a plea of not guilty has
not been filed nor the fine paid within 30 calendar days from the date on which the ticket was issued
or of the time when such notice was attached to such vehicle, the fine shall be One Hundred Fifty
Dollars ($150.00).
Section 2. Remainder
Except as hereinabove amended, the remainder of the Code of the Village of Port Dickinson shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3. Separability
The provisions of this Local Law are separable and if any provision, clause, sentence, subsection, word or part thereof is held
illegal, invalid, unconstitutional, or inapplicable to any person or circumstance, such illegality, invalidity or unconstitutionality, or
inapplicability shall not affect or impair any of the remaining provisions, clauses, sentences, subsections, words, or parts of this
local law or their application to other persons or circumstances. It is hereby declared to be the legislative intent that this local law
would have been adopted if such illegal, invalid, or unconstitutional provision, clause, sentence, subsection, word or part had not
been included therein, and as if such person or circumstance, to which the local law or part thereof is held inapplicable, had been
specifically exempt therefrom.
Section 4. Effective Date
This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the New York State Secretary of State in accordance with Section
27 of the Municipal Home Rule Law.
