City of Prairie View, Texas, Planning and Zoning Commission Agenda Notice is hereby given of a Meeting of the City of Prairie View Planning and Zoning Commission to be held on Friday, May 18, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. at the Prairie View City Hall, City Council Chamber, 44500 U.S. Business Highway 290, Prairie View, Texas 77446, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items. All agenda items are subject to action. The Planning and Zoning Commission reserves the right to meet in closed session on any agenda item should the need arise and if applicable, pursuant to Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code. 1. Call meeting to Order. 2. Certify a quorum. 3. Invocation and Pledge. 4. Presentation by City Attorney and discussion regarding differences between a mobile home, manufactured home, recreational vehicle, modular home, industrialized housing, and other similar types of structures and vehicles and discussion of law related to all. 5. Review, discuss, consider and take action on all zoning applications filed with the City. 6. Review, discuss, consider and take action to revise, amend, or change the City’s Zoning Application and the process for application submittal, review, and approval. 7. Review, discuss, consider and take action to revise, amend, or change the City’s Zoning Map and any Zoning Districts therein. 8. Review, discuss, consider, and take action to revise, amend, or change the City’s Comprehensive Plan. 9. Discuss and take action to add future Planning & Zoning Commission Agenda items. 10. Discuss and take action to recommend Planning & Zoning Commission members to Mayor and City Council. 11. Convene into executive session with City Attorney as allowed by Texas Government Code, Section 551.071(Consultation with Attorney). 12. Adjourn The City of Prairie View Planning and Zoning Commission reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss, as authorized by Texas Government Code Sections 551.071 (Consultation with Attorney), 551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property), 551.073 (Deliberations about Gifts and Donations), 551.074 (Personnel Matters), 551.076 (Deliberations about Security Devices), and 551.086 (Economic Development).
