Citizens Forum- at this time, citizens will be able to speak for a length of time not to exceed five minutes. Thirty minutes total has been allocated for this section. Pursuant to Section 551.042 of the Texas Open Meetings Act, any deliberation or decisions about the subject inquiry shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on the agenda for a subsequent meeting. 5. Discuss and possible action on the PVEDC’s mission, goals and objectives for the new 2019-2020 budget cycle. 6. Discuss and possible action on the job qualifications for the hiring of PVEDC’s Executive Director, along with creating recommendations and guidelines for the final selection. 7. Discuss and possible action on material provided by Anthony T.J. Michelic, President of The Pace Group to solicit candidates for Director of PVEDC, and to assess candidates’ work background, personalities, and other characteristics for the position. 8. Discuss and take action on approving the PVEDC Annual Comprehensive Report, including goals and objectives of the PVEDC for the 2019-2020 budget year to be submitted to PV’s City Council. 9. Discuss and possible action on the distribution plan for a magazine to promote PVEDC. 10. Discuss and take action on procedures for posting agendas on behalf of PVEDV. 11. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.0415, the Board of Directors, without having provided notice, may make reports about items of community interest if no action is taken and possible action is not discussed regarding the information provided in the report. “Items of community interest” include: (1) expressions of thanks, congratulations, or condolence; (2) information regarding holiday schedules; (3) an honorary or salutatory recognition of a public official, public employee, or other citizen, except that discussions regarding a change in the status of a person’s public office or public employment is not an honorary or salutatory recognition for purposes of the PVEDC; (4) a reminder about an upcoming event organized or sponsored by the governing body; (5) information regarding Agenda for Prairie View EDC Workshop Page | 1  a social, ceremonial, or community event organized or sponsored by an entity other than the PVEDC that was attend or is scheduled to be attended by a member of the governing body or an official or employee of the PVEDC; and, (6) announcements involving an imminent threat to the public health and safety of people in the political subdivision that has arisen after the posting of the agenda. The Prairie View Economic Development Corporation 4-B reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time during the course of the meeting to discuss any of the matters listed above, as authorized by Texas Government Code Sections 551.071 (Consultation with Attorney), 551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property), 551.073 (Deliberations about Gifts and Donations), 551.074 (Personnel Matters), 551.076 (Deliberations about Security Devices), 551.086 (Economic Development).
