Personnel Committee

CITY OF PRESCOTT, WISCONSIN MONDAY, JULY 27, 2015 PERSONNEL COMMITTEE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the Personnel Committee was held Monday, July 27, 2015, 800 Borner St., Prescott, WI 54021. Call to order/Roll Call: Chairperson Maureen Otwell called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Members present were Rob Daugherty and Galen Seipel. Jayne Brand, City Administrator represented staff. City Administrator Jayne Brand presented a request from the Prescott Fire and EMS Association for an Administrative Assistant. The Association would like for the employee to be a City of Prescott employee and supervised by the City Administrator. The Mayor had requested there be a contract between the Association and the city in regards to the employee. The position would be 10 to 15 hours per week and the employee would be housed out of the city offices. The city would establish the wage for the position. The personnel committee discussed a fee for supervision of the employee, use of city office, supplies and equipment. The committee set the amount at $2,000 per year. Otwell/Daugherty motion to contract with Prescott Fire and EMS Association to hire a city employee and a fee of $2,000 per year for supervision and use of office, supplies and equipment with the funds coming out of the Fire Department budget passed without a negative voice vote. Daugherty/Seipel motion to go into closed session per Wisconsin Stats. 19.85 (1) ( c) considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility – Police Union Contract passed unanimously via roll call vote. Seipel/Daugherty motion to come out of closed session passed unanimously via roll call vote. Seipel/Daugherty motion to adjourn passed without a negative voice vote. Respectfully Submitted, Jayne M.
