Tourism Board Meeting 11/7/2023 ● Role Call ○ Chad Steger ○ Beth Lansing ○ Matt Wolf ○ Kimberly Braun ○ Megan Langer ○ Todd London ○ Jasmine Westland ● Old Business Marketing RFP ○ Peachie…quote for $1600/month ■ Megan is going to reply to let them know we are still in the process of making a decision. ○ Need to touch base with other companies ■ Smarketing $1200/month proposal ● Zoom meeting needs to be scheduled w/n the next week to go over proposal ■ Meraki $400/month completely customizable proposal ● Zoom meeting needs to be scheduled w/n the next week ○ Megan Langer going to schedule Zoom meetings with Smarketing and Meraki for either MTW over the lunch hour ● Once calls have been set and reviewals of the different proposals Board will review what options work best with the monthly allotted dollars for a marketing firm ● Will potentially use some of the marketing dollars to use some of the Chambers Coordinators hours ● Using the 70% of the annual Tourism Money brought in will allow for to spend $1200/month on marketing New Business ● After getting Marketing Firm finalized will go to Quarterly Meetings instead of Monthly ● Chad and Beth to update the criteria for the application for the Grants and will be brought to the Board meeting to get approval. ● Potentially put a flier together to go out to businesses on how they can submit applications for the Tourism Grants ○ Get it out before the end of the year ○ Have the mktg company do this before the end of the year ■ First project of the mktg firm ■ Add a Business Only Facebook Group ● Coloring Contest Photo needs to be submitted to the schools ○ Megan is going to send out an email for approval  ● Need to get a 2024 Budget put together primary agenda meeting on the 5th ○ XMas Lights Downtown ● Need to reach out to individuals to join the committee reach out before the next meeting ○ Bodhi Studio ■ Beth is going to reach out to Courtney ○ Oohh Ahhh Reach out to ■ Todd going to reach out to Lexi ○ Prescott Roadhouse ■ Megan going to ask Mel Other Business ● Todd and Beth to work on 2023 P&L and 2024 Financial Plan ● At the next meeting we will determine if we want to recommend to City Council changes regarding tourism committee headcount requirements and Chamber contribution
