The “New River ” City 10 Robertson St. July 6, 201 6 Radford, Virginia Special Meeting Number 1 of Radford City Council, F.Y. 2016-2017 The special organizational meeting of the Radford City Council was convened at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 10 Robertson Street, Radford, VA. The Mayor of the City, Dr. Bruce Brown, was present and presiding. Other members of City Council present were Mr. Robert Gropman, Dr. Richard Harshberger, Mr. Daniel “Keith” Marshall, and Mr. David “Michael” Turk. VOTE: Mr. Gropman: Yes Dr. Harshberger: Yes Mr. Marshall: No Mr. Turk: No Mayor Brown: Yes SUBJECT: Appointment of City Clerk of Council ACTION: Dr. Harshberger made a motion to appoint Jenni Wilder as City Clerk for Fiscal Year 2016-2017, Mr. Marshall seconded the motion. Mayor Brown recommended seeking request for proposals to see what attorneys are currently charging for their services. VOTE: Mr. Gropman: Yes Dr. Harshberger: Yes Mr. Marshall: Yes Mr. Turk: Abstain Mayor Brown: Yes SUBJECT: Council Calendar for F.Y. 2016-2017 SUMMARY: Council considered the following calendar REGULAR RADFORD CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS 2016-2017 July 11, 2016 August 8, 2016 September 12, 2016 September 26, 2016 October 10, 2016 October 24, 2016 November 14, 2016 December 12, 2016 January 9, 2017 January 23, 2017 February 13, 2017 February 27, 2017 March 13, 2017 March 27, 2017 April 10, 2017 April 24, 2017 May 8, 2017 June 12, 2017 All meetings are scheduled at 7:00 P.M. to be held in the Council Chambers, 10 Robertson Street, Radford, Virginia 24141. Infrequently, Radford City Council holds an early meeting prior to the regularly scheduled meeting time in which case the time and subject of the meeting will be announced in the agenda for the meeting. Notification will be provided for all special or emergency meetings prior to the meetings.
