Election of Chairman Commissioner Zapotocky made a motion to nominate William Hering as Chairman to the Zoning Board of Adjustment. This motion was seconded by Commissioner Gemenden. Commissioner Hering accepted the position as Chairman of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. Motion: Commissioner Zapotocky Second: Commissioner Gemenden Yes: Commissioners Gemenden, Givens, Richelieu, Zapotocky, Basso, Zdan, Smith and Pellettiere Absent: Commissioners Heim and Tomkiewicz Abstain: Commissioner Hering B. Election of Vice-Chairman Motion was made by Commissioner Hering to nominate Commissioner Pellettiere as Vice-Chairman of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. This motion was seconded by Commissioner Zapotocky. Commissioner Pellettiere accepted the position as Vice Chairman of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. Motion: Commissioner Hering Second: Commissioner Zapotocky Yes: Commissioners Gemenden, Givens, Richelieu, Zapotocky, Basso, Zdan, Smith and Hering Absent: Commissioners Heim and Tomkiewicz Abstain: Commissioner Pelletiere C. Election of Secretary Motion was made by Chairman Hering to nominate Ann Marie Williams as Secretary to the Zoning Board of Adjustment. This motion was seconded by Commissioner Gemenden. Ann Marie Williams accepted the position as Secretary to the Zoning Board of Adjustment. Adoption of resolution awarding Professional Services to Maser Consulting, PA, Jacqueline Dirmann D. Appointment of Engineer 2. Adoption of resolution awarding Professional Services to McManimon Scotland & Baumann, LLC E. Appointment of Board Attorney, James Polles, Esq. McManimon Scotland & Baumann, LLC 3. Adoption of resolution awarding Professional Services to Kevin O’Brien, AICP, PP F. Appointment of Zoning Board of Adjustment Planner Kevin O’Brien, AICP, PP There was one resolution prepared for all three professionals: Jacqueline Dirmann, P.E., C.M.E., C.F.M., Maser Consulting P.A., appointed Board Engineer, James Polles, Esq., McManimon Scotland & Baumann LLC, Appointed Board Attorney, Kevin O’Brien, AICP, PP, appointed Zoning Board of Adjustment Planner. Motion was made by Chairman Gemenden and seconded by Commissioner Zdan. Adoption of resolution for the 2020/2021 schedule for the Zoning Board of Adjustment Motion was made by Commissioner Zdan and seconded by Commissioner Richelieu. Chairman Hering opened the meeting with the regulations and reading of the agenda into the record. The following action took place. SWEARING IN OF BOARD PROFESSIONALS The approval of the following resolution: A RESOLUTION OF THE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE CITY OF RAHWAY MEMORIALIZING THE ACTION OF THE BOARD APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF SHILPA JAIN FOR MINOR SITE PLAN APPROVAL WITH “C” AND “D” VARIANCES Motion: Commissioner Pellettiere Second: Commissioner Zapotoky Yes: Commissioners Gemenden, Zapotocky, Smith, Pelletiere and Hering Absent: Commissioners Heim and Tomkiewicz Abstain: Commissioners Givens, Richelieu, Basso, Zdan MINUTES: Any necessary changes to the Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting minutes of the December 16th 2019 meeting shall be made and approved by action of the Commissioners.
