ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT REGULAR MEETING MINUTES DECEMBER 21, 2020 CALL TO ORDER The Zoning Board of Adjustment of the City of Rahway held its regularly scheduled meeting Monday, December 21, 2020 via electronic communications equipment. Pursuant to the provisions of the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-8(b), this meeting was held via Zoom. Due to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, commonly known as the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m. ______________________________________________________________________________ FLAG SALUTE The Board saluted the flag. ______________________________________________________________________________ ROLL CALL On a call of the roll, the following Board Members and Officials should be present: BOARD Ms. Joann Gemenden, Commissioner Ms. Marie Richelieu, Commissioner Mr. Brandon Givens, Commissioner Mr. James Heim, Commissioner Mr. Adrian Zapotocky, Commissioner Ms. Jelsie Basso, 1st Alternate Commissioner Mr Richard Zdan 2nd Alternate Commissioner Mr. William Tomkiewicz, 3rd Alternate Commissioner Mr. Roy Smith, 4th Alternate Commissioner Mr. William Hering, Commissioner / Chairman Mr. James E. Pellettiere, Commissioner / Vice Chairman Mr. Mark Moon, Esq, Board Attorney Ms. Jacqueline Dirmann, City Engineer Mr. Kevin O’Brien City Planner Mrs. Karin Napier, Board Secretary pro tem *Absent from this meeting was Commissioner Pellettiere. ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING MINUTES DECEMBER 21, 2020 _______ PAGE TWO REGULAR MEETING: Chairman Hering opened the meeting at 7:04 pm with the regulations and reading of the agenda into the record. The following action took place. Chairman Hering opened the floor to Board Attorney Mark Moon to discuss application titled Pine Street Rahway, LLC - Proposed Two (2) five-unit, 3-Bedroom Towns houses Pine Street Block 358 - Lots 9 & 10 Preliminary & Final Site Plan Approval, Use (“D”) Variance, Bulk (“C”) Variance Applicant was on this December Agenda. Moon advised that the applicant wishes to be heard at the January 2021 Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting. Motion called to carry over without further notification and move to the January 25, 2021 meeting. Motion: Commissioner Heim Second: Commissioner Zapotocky Yes: Commissioners Gemenden, Zapotocky, Zdan, Tomkiewicz, Hering, Smith, Givens, Richelieu, Heim and Basso No: none Abstain: none Absent: Commissioner Pellettiere Motion was approved Board Engineer questioned whether anyone was up for reappointment to which Chairman Hering advised it was a great group and there are no intention of changing anything ADJOURN: There being no further business; the meeting was adjourned 7:24pm Yes: Commissioners Gemenden, Zapotocky, Zdan, Tomkiewicz , Smith, Hering, Givens, Richelieu, Heim and Basso No: none Abstain: none Absent: Pellettiere Meeting was adjourned
