ADJOURNMENT Pursuant to Florida Statutes § 286.0105, if any person or entity decides to appeal any decision made on any matter considered at any meeting or hearing of any Redington Shores Board or Commission, he, she or it will need a record of the proceedings and, for such purpose, he, she or it may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the legal arguments, testimony, and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. ITEM F.1. Date: March 25, 2026 To: Board of Commissioners From: Margaret Carey – Town Manager Re: Replacement Sign for Nature Park Residents Loretta Fricks (Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee Chair) and Christy Herig reviewed the history of the sign replacement project and options for replacement. A presentation will be made regarding their findings and recommendations. BACKGROUND • June 2024, Loretta Fricks, on behalf of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, presented a mock-up to the previous Town Manager. Also included were signs for the County Beach Access and the Town Lot at 177th-178th. • The majority of the design work was started by Rob Francour and later Christy Herig with attempts to be similar to the town's existing signs at Constitution Park and in the median at the north and south edges of town. • The project was paused because the Commission was discussing changing the town logo/messaging – and deciding whether all town signs should follow a uniform appearance. • The project paused again due to the Hurricanes in the fall of 2024. ITEM F.2. Date: March 25, 2026 To: Board of Commissioners From: Margaret Carey – Town Manager Re: Forerunner A few months ago I provided an update about a presentation I attended with Pinellas County regarding the Forerunner program. Since then, many neighboring towns have purchased the program, including Redington Beach and Madeira Beach. I believe this program would be a benefit to Redington Shores as well. Forerunner is a software program that makes it easier to access flood risk information specific to individual properties. Through a public flood risk portal on the town’s website, residents, property owners, developers, contractors, and real estate or insurance professionals can find essential property-level data and documents in just a few clicks. Forerunner can be used to: • Search for a property’s flood risk. • Find Elevation Certificates and flood-related documents for each property • Review Substantial Improvement/Substantial Damage for a property Building Official Spencer and I will provide additional details at the Workshop. ITEM F.3. Date: March 25, 2026 To: Board of Commissioners From: Margaret Carey – Town Manager Re: Kayak Launch Commissioner Hoyt was asked by a constituent at the “Coffee with the Commissioners” event about the possibility of installing a kayak launch in District 2. Public Works Supervisor Pafumi and I visited possible launch locations and researched product options. Details will be presented at the Workshop. ITEM F.4. Date: March 25, 2026 To: Board of Commissioners From: Margaret Carey – Town Manager Re: Dog Park Commissioner Hoyt was asked by a constituent at the “Coffee with the Commissioners” event about the possibility of creating a dog park in town. Currently, dogs are not permitted on the beach and in our parks, but a significant portion of our population includes dog owners. We know this because of the regular use of dog waste disposal stations around town. These owners lack a safe, designated space where their pets can exercise off-leash. Recommendation Authorize staff to: • Research potential sites • Engage the public for input and support • Develop preliminary design ideas and cost estimates
