Minutes of Special Meeting City Council City of Richwood A Special Meeting of the City Council of City of Richwood was held Saturday, July 12, 2014, beginning at 9:00 AM in the Richwood City Hall, 1800 N. Brazosport Blvd. Richwood, Texas. I. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 9:00 am by Clint Kocurek, Mayor and presiding officer. II. ROLL CALL OF COUNCIL MEMBERS Roll call showed the following members present: Clint Kocurek, Mayor and presiding officer Paul Raymond, Council, Position #1 and Mayor Pro Tem John Pitts, Council, Position #2 Jarrod Beaty, Council, Position #3 Sarah Harris, Council, Position #4 Chris Hardison, Council, Position #5 III. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS A. Executive Session pursuant to Section 551.074, Government Code, Personnel Matters to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer; or to hear a complaint against an officer or employee FY 15 proposed salary increases Council entered executive session at 9:01 am. Council exited executive session at 10:51 am. B. FY 15 Budget Workshop Mayor Kocurek presented the budget and went over each department. The Police Department salaries will be changed to reflect that one officer will still be paid at the sergeant’s salary. The sergeant position is being eliminated.  Council also would like to see the Replacement Fund increased. Mayor Kocurek, Mr. Patton and Department Heads will spend the next week reviewing their budget requests in an effort to put more money back into the Replacement Fund. Police Chief Caudle explained his current plans are to ask for a new police vehicle, upgrade the tasers and add an evidence locker from the Crime Control and Prevention District. IV.
