Minutes of City Council Special Meeting The City Council City of Richwood A City Council Special Meeting of the City Council of City of Richwood was held Tuesday, December 4, 2018, beginning at 6:00 PM in the Richwood City Hall, 1800 N. Brazosport Blvd. Richwood, Texas. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:01 pm. INVOCATION Michael Coon led the invocation. PLEDGES OF ALLEGIANCE Pledge of Allegiance & Texas Pledge Mark Guthrie led the pledges. ROLL CALL OF COUNCIL MEMBERS Mark Guthrie, Mayor Mike Johnson, Council member - ABSENT Frank Blanks, Council member Sarah Reed, Council member - ABSENT Mark Brown, Council member Katie Johnson, Council member Others present: Michael Coon, City Manager; and Giani Cantu, City Secretary PUBLIC COMMENTS All public comments will be subject to the following rules: all speakers will be permitted to speak no longer than 3 minutes; all speakers will only be permitted to speak once; speakers cannot defer their 3 minutes to another speaker; the first five individuals who sign up for the public comment section will be permitted to speak There were no public comments. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS Resolution awarding RFQ 18-004Q Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Engineering Services Mr. Coon stated one of the top priorities of the City is to tie these CDBG-DR funds in with the hazard mitigation grant. Strand previously developed a hydraulic model for the City of Richwood that helps expedite this project. On motion by Mark Brown second by Frank Blanks with all present members voting “aye” the resolution awarding RFQ 18-004Q Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Engineering Services was approved and adopted. CITY MANAGER’S REPORT Christmas in the Park on Friday, December 7, 2018. Fire Department Christmas dinner December 13, 2018 and City Christmas Dinner is December 14, 2018. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS No items were suggested. COUNCIL MEMBER COMMENTS & REPORTS No council reports were given. MAYOR’S REPORT No report was given. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business the meeting adjourned 6:07 pm.
