MINUTES RICHWOOD CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT BOARD MEETING Thursday, November 09, 2023 at 6:00 PM BE IT KNOWN THAT a City of Richwood Crime Control and Prevention District Board will meet Thursday, November 2nd, 2023, beginning at 6:00 PM at Richwood City Hall, located at 1800 Brazosport Blvd. N., Richwood, Texas 77531, with the following agenda: I. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. II. ROLL CALL OF BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT Buster Primm Randy Acord William Yearsin David Thompson arrived late. Leslie Klug ABSENT Randy Day Lauren LaCount Other present: Chief of Police Stephen Mayer, Officer Nadia Nelson, and Councilman Mike Johnson. III. PUBLIC COMMENTS There were no public comments. IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A. Minutes from the meeting held July 13, 2023. Motion to approve minutes. Motion made by Leslie Klug, Seconded by William Yearsin. Voting Yea: Buster Primm, Randy Acord, William Yearsin, David Thompson, Leslie Klug Motion Carried. V. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS A. Discussion of current fiscal year expenditures. Chief Mayer presented. Discussion regarding the arrival of new Tahoes. B. Discuss and consider new equipment upgrades. Chief Mayer presented. Discussion held on taser abilities.  C. Discuss and consider approving a budget amendment to allow funding for Shop with a Cop. Chief Mayer presented information. Motion to approve the transfer of residual Community Outreach funds from FY 23 to FY 24 for Shop with a Cop. Motion made by William Yearsin, Seconded by Leslie Klug. Voting Yea: Buster Primm, Randy Acord, William Yearsin, David Thompson, Leslie Klug Motion Carried. Additional discussion was held regarding Crime Scene equipment; due to open meeting guidelines, any action taken is void. D. Discussion and possible action regarding crime reduction and traffic safety initiatives. Chief Mayer presented. Discussion held on equipment needs. VI. SET NEXT MEETING DATE January 25, 2024 VII. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS No items. VIII. ADJOURNMENT Being there no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
