Minutes approved. Public comment of items not on the agenda · No public comment New business · Tennis Courts – Director will be bringing the tennis court resurfacing project back to Council the first meeting in May. Will include complete resurfacing of 3 courts, and new concrete slab + resurfacing on the other 3 courts. Old business · Clean CA Grant – Awarded $1.8 million, working with the representative to obtain timeline and procedures for moving forward. · Per Capita Grant – Due to inflation project is about $48,000 over budget. Director will be coming to Council for approval to use Impact Fees to complete the project. · Pearson Park – 100% complete. Maintenance is continuing to make adjustments to the direction and position of lights as we receive concerns from the surrounding residents. · ARP Project Update – Water Tank and Smart Water System has been ordered but due to supply shortages have not been received. Water tank is now expected sometime in August, smart water chips have not received a shipping date. Awaiting bid documents from the Public Works Director to complete the roofing project at Upjohn and Leroy Jackson Sports Complex. All other projects besides the tennis court resurfacing are currently on hold per the City Manager’s direction. Items from Director · April 15th is the first movie in the park. Sponsored by Alta One FCU, they will be providing an Easter egg hunt prior to the movie at 6 pm. · Still looking for sponsors for March 2023 movie night. · Teen night May 20th from 6 – 9:30 pm. Ages 13 -17 are welcome. Can preregister or purchase tickets at the door. · Day Camp registration is now open · All summer activities are now open for registration · Activity camp and class brochure will be out around May 1. Committee Comments · Mayor Bruen requested that the Director obtain estimates of how much it would cost to place restrooms at Pearson Park. Also requested that we provide local businesses with a heads up when our sports are ready to begin so they can stock the necessary equipment for the season. · Mr. Jinkins requested that we provide a project prioritized list and workflow chart at every meeting and attach it to the meeting minutes. · April 5th meeting has been cancelled.
