City Council Meeting
February 10, 2020
The regular Riverdale City Council meeting of February 10, 2020 was called to order at 6:00 PM
by Mayor Skuza.
Present: Ken Skuza, Jerry Orth, Garth Zimbelman, Jonna Taylor and Auditor Del Kolke
Absent: Dick Cheatley
Orth moved to approve the Jan. 13, 2020 meeting minutes. Zimbelman seconded. Motion
carried.
Zimbelman moved to approve the bills. Taylor seconded. Motion carried.
Taylor moved to approve the agenda. Zimbelman seconded. Motion carried.
Guest:
AJ Tuck, Ulteig Engineers, presented a change order for the water tower project. Taylor moved
to approve Riverdale Water Tower Change Order No. 1 which corrects project completion
dates. Orth seconded. Motion carried.
Orth moved to approve Maguire Iron Pay Estimate 4 for $85,975.00. Taylor seconded. Motion
carried.
Vacating of John Adams easements is tabled until March.
New Business:
Orth moved for City of Riverdale to renew Easement No. DACW45-2-93-8210 for a twenty-five
(25) year term for the operation and maintenance of a buried water pipeline for the Morning
Star Campground across Corps of Engineers property. Taylor seconded. Motion carried.
Reports:
City hall will be closed Monday, Feb. 17 for President’s Day. A delinquent utility account
(no. 01-00001510-00-8) was brought to council’s attention. Taylor moved to require balance
paid within six (6) months and if a monthly payment is missed, water services will be turned off
at the curb stop. Orth seconded. Motion carried.
Skuza reported landfill and remaining brush pile in John Adams Addition has been burned by
city maintenance. Maintenance personnel will clean equipment and city shop during down
time.
Orth moved to have Tecta America repair city shop roof for $4,623.00. Zimbelman seconded.

Zimbelman stated a vehicle left the road and was being towed from a site in the campground
after becoming high-centered on a fire ring.
Taylor has received several inquiries from campers in site nos. 1-9 regarding a newly adopted
health dept. regulation which will require those campers to park east/west rather than
north/south. A letter of explanation will be sent to those affected by this mandate.
Next meeting will be held Monday, March 9 at 6:00 PM.
Meeting adjourned at 6:55 PM.
