City of Riverside Page 1 Board of Library Trustees Agenda September 13, 2021 The mission of the Riverside Public Library is to be the cultural and learning center for the community, encouraging the joy and wonder of reading, the wisdom of diverse ideas, and the power of lifelong learning. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2 the Board of Library Trustees will conduct a meeting at the above time and place for the purpose of transacting or discussing business as identified on this agenda. Any person who has information to contribute during the Board of Library Trustee meeting is invited to participate and should submit a "Request to Speak" form to the Administrative Secretary prior to the commencement of the meeting. The City of Riverside is committed to a workplace that requires acceptable behavior from everyone - a workplace that provides dignity, respect, and civility to our employees, customers, and the public. The City of Riverside Sunshine Ordinance No. 7301 restricts the Board of Library Trustees from taking action on an item unless it has been included on an agenda and posted at least 12 days in advance of a meeting or unless the matter falls within one of the narrow exceptions. Consequently, any item not listed on this agenda will normally have to be delayed until the item can be made part of a posted agenda. The City of Riverside wishes to make all of its public meetings accessible to the public. Upon request, this agenda will be made available in appropriate alternative formats to persons with disabilities, as required by 42 U.S.C. §12132 of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
