The City of Riverside Public Utilities Department is committed to the highest quality

TAP CHANGER UPDATE PROJECT
That the Board of Public Utilities recognize Travis Johnson, Substation
Construction/Maintenance Supervisor, David Angelo, Substation Electrician,
Bobby Thompson, Electric Apprentice, Chris Summerford, Substation Electrician,
and Xavier Rogers, Substation Test Technician, Fady Megala, Senior Electrical
Engineer for their dedication and contributions to the Load Tap Changer Update
Project.

CONSENT CALENDAR
All matters listed under the CONSENT CALENDAR are considered routine by the Board
of Public Utilities and may be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. There will
be no separate discussion of these items unless, before the Board of Public Utilities votes
on the motion to adopt, Members of the Board of Public Utilities or the Public Utilities
General Manager, or his designee, request specific items be removed from the Consent
Calendar for separate action. Removed consent items will be discussed immediately after
adoption of the balance of the Consent Calendar.

5 AWARD REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) NO. 1624 - DESIGN-BUILD
AGREEMENT TO R.B. DEVELOPMENT OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA FOR
TURF CONVERSION AND DEMONSTRATION GARDEN AT STREETER PARK
(JANET GOESKE CENTER) IN THE AMOUNT OF $299,787.51
That the Board of Public Utilities:
1. Approve the Streeter Park Turf Conversion and Demonstration Garden
project at the Janet Goeske Center as the site for the previously approved water
efficiency demonstration garden;
2. Award a Design-Build agreement to R.B. Development, of Riverside,
California, for turf conversion and demonstration garden at Streeter Park in the
amount of $299,787.51; and
3. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the Design-Build
Agreement, including making minor, non-substantive changes, and to sign all
documents and instruments necessary to complete this project.

6 CONSTRUCTION OF THE BROCKTON AVENUE AND PALM AVENUE
RAILROAD CROSSINGS WATER PIPELINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT –
AWARD OF BID NO. RPU-7407 TO C.P. CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. OF
ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA – WORK ORDER NO. 1518913 FOR $688,000
That the Board of Public Utilities:
1. Award a contract for the construction of the Brockton Avenue and Palm
Avenue Railroad Crossings Water Pipeline Replacement Project – Bid No.
RPU-7407 to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, C.P. Construction Co.,
Inc. of Ontario, California in the amount of $461,450; and
2. Approve the capital expenditure of $688,000 for Work Order No. 1518913,
which includes all design, construction, paving, contract administration, inspection
and construction contingency costs for the Brockton Avenue and Palm Avenue
Railroad Crossings Water Pipeline Replacement Project.

7 PROPOSED SECOND AMENDMENT TO COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FOR
WATER PRODUCTION AND CONVEYANCE BETWEEN CITY OF RIVERSIDE
AND WESTERN MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT TO INCLUDE MONETIZATION
OF EXCESS WATER RESOURCES FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2016 AND 2017
FOR ESTIMATED GROSS REVENUE OF ABOUT $3,500,000
That the Board of Public Utilities recommend that the City Council:
1. Approve the Second Amendment to the Cooperative Agreement for
Production and Conveyance between City of Riverside and Western Municipal
Water District of Riverside County; and
2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the agreement.
