We study local senior issues to learn about current programs, define future needs, and reference best practices. We then make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on ways we think the City of Riverside can maintain and improve its status as a Senior-Friendly Community. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 3 Meeting Minutes for January 9, 2018 Attachments: 1-9-2018 REVIEW OF BOARD ATTENDANCE Commissioners will review the board attendance policy and discuss concerns. 4 Determine whether Commissioner Michelle Hesse's absense from the regular Commission on Aging Meeting on January 9, 2018, should be recorded as an excused or unexcused absense. DISCUSSION ITEMS 5 Broadening the diversity of groups that the Commission engages with in the aging community in Riverside. 6 Discussion on the development of an Ad Hoc committee to be formed to develop proposed presentation and events calendar. 7 Discuss the Sock Hop event.
