Pursuant to Government code section 54954.2 the Community Police Review Commission will conduct a meeting at the above time and place for the purpose of transacting or discussing business as identified on this agenda. PLEASE NOTE: The scheduled hearing times are approximate. No item will be heard before its scheduled time but may be heard later in the meeting. 4:30 PM - CASE REVIEW (CLOSED SESSION) 1 Roll Call 2 Public Comments This is an opportunity for members of the public to address the Commission on closed session items. 3 Closed Session – Case Review Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957, the Commission will adjourn to Closed Session to discuss issues pertaining to PUBLIC EMPLOYEE PERSONNEL MATTERS. Public Comment will take place after the introduction of each agenda item. The speaker may choose to address the Commission either before OR after discussion by Commissioners, but may only speak one time on any agenda item. The speaker must check the appropriate box on the “Request to Speak” form, specifying if they wish to speak before or after discussion of an agenda item. The same rules apply to presentations by guest speakers and / or a training course for Commissioners. Any questions posed by members of the public during public comment may be asked of the presenter only by the Commission Chair during Commission discussion. Five (5) minutes per speaker may be allocated family members or their spokesperson speaking regarding an officer-involved death. Three (3) minutes per speaker may be allocated for all other public comment. A) Stage I – Commission Member Review: In Process B) Stage II – Fact Finding, Request for Training & Investigation: In Process C) Stage III – Policy and Procedure Process D) Stage IV – Deliberation and Finding Process E) Stage V – Recommendation Process F) Stage VI – Written Public Report NEW BUSINESS 13 Annual Review of the City's Code of Ethics Discussion and action, if any, on recommendations or inclusion of new values or procedures in the City's Code of Ethics for elected officials and members of appointed boards, commissions, and committees. Per Resolution No. 22461, the Governmental Affairs Committee will hold the required annual review of the Code of Ethics with the Mayor, City Manager, City Attorney, and the Chairs of all Boards and Commissions. This meeting will be held on September 3, 2014, at 4 PM in the Mayor's Ceremonial Room. The City Council's public hearing on the resultant report is scheduled for September 23, 2014, at 7 PM in the Art Pick Council Chamber.
