MISSION STATEMENT

PLEASE NOTE: The numerical order of items on this agenda is for convenience of
reference. Items may be taken out of order upon request of the Historic Preservation
Fund Committee members.
Historic Preservation Fund Committee action on all items may be appealed to the City
Council within ten calendar days. Contact the Planning Division of the Community
Development Department for further information.
State law restricts the Historic Preservation Fund Committee from taking action on an
item unless it has been included on an agenda and posted at least 72 hours in advance of
a meeting or unless the matter falls within one of the narrow exceptions. Consequently,
any item not listed on this agenda will normally have to be delayed until the item can be
made part of a posted agenda.
The City of Riverside wishes to make all of its public meetings accessible to the public.
Upon request, this agenda will be made available in appropriate alternative formats to
persons with disabilities, as required by 42 U.S.C. §12132 of the Americans with
Disabilities Act of 1990. Any person with a disability who requires a modification or

COMMENTS FROM THE AUDIENCE
1 Public Comments: This portion of the agenda will be limited to a cumulative total of
15 minutes, with individual speakers limited to a maximum time limit of 3 minutes.
Further discussion of any matter beyond 15 minutes will be continued to following
the public hearing calendar or scheduled for a later agenda. If there is no one from
the audience wishing to speak, the Commission will move to the next order of
business.
DISCUSSION CALENDAR
This portion of the Historic Preservation Fund Committee agenda is for all matters where
staff and public participation is anticipated. Individual participation is limited to 3 minutes.
2 PLANNING CASE P16-0583: Request by Michele Carry for 1) a one-year time
extension; and 2) a modification to the project scope, to include repair of windows,
for an associated Historic Preservation Fund Grant contract, which awarded funds
to reroof and repaint the trim on the house and garage at a single-family residence,
located at 3692 Larchwood Place, a Contributor to the Wood Streets Historic
District, Wood Streets Neighborhood Conservation Area, and City Structure of
Merit, within the R-1-7000-CR, Single Family Residential and Cultural Resources
Overlay Zones, in Ward 1. It has been determined this project is exempt from the
provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to
Guidelines Section 15331 (Historical Resource Restoration/Rehabilitation). Contact

3 PLANNING CASE P18-0951: Request by the Riverside Metropolitan Museum for a
Historic Preservation Fund grant of $10,800 toward the hiring of a grant writing
consultant to write a grant application for California Proposition 68 grant fund, to
complete rehabilitation of Harada House, located at 3356 Lemon Street, within the
DSP-CR—Downtown Specific Plan and Cultural Resources Overlay Zones, in Ward
1. It has been determined this project is exempt from the provisions of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3) (No
